Beitou is rich in folk culture and is renowned for its hot springs as well as a variety of folkloric arts and crafts. The Beitou Hot Spring Museum was formerly a Beitou Public Bathhouse, which was once the largest in Southeast Asia and had a significant influence on hot spring culture. Beitou is also the birthplace of Beitou Lion Dance Troupes, with a “lions' den” of up to 20 lion dance troupes at its peak This design combines these two characteristics to showcase the past prosperity of Beitou. It highlights the Beitou Lions and hot spring culture from a bottom-up perspective, allowing people to experience Beitou's century-old charm.
